Our New House in Shelley (Update: this is not the house we ended up getting. Long story. Sellers backed out. Ask me about it sometime, since I probably won't blog about it, despite my best intetentions :))

Here we are a month away from moving from NYC and you've seen no posts of the city.  Hee, hee, maybe I'll play catch-up another day.  (I've learned to quit making promises of frequent posts).  Today I'm going to post the pictures we took of our new house in Shelley.  Not officially our house yet.  Not until Aug. 9th.  But I love to look at the pictures, especially on days I'm sick of the city. (That would be most days :))
View from the road.
We love the long driveway for the kids to ride their bikes on.   The pasture with the horses actually belongs to the neighbors, but the owners of "our house" rent it from them.

Another view from the road (please excuse the horrible cellphone pictures).
A lot of wasted space for the front lawn.  We would love a little more yard for the back, but we'll take it like it is!

Someone mentioned it looks like a cabin.  I guess we loved the look, and it's the furthest thing from a NYC apartment we could get!

Here  you can see the shed/barn that comes with the house.  And of course the b-ball hoop!

My favorite picture of the house.  The rock is what I noticed when we were viewing the neighboring property for sale.  I even commented to Jason how much I loved it :)

View from house to road.  Nice and private.  Not looking forward to mowing that lawn....  The dirt is actually where they replaced the sewage drain lines last year.  No 20 foot hole to dig and fill with rock here, Andruses! :)

View from front door.  To the left is the living room, and down the hall to the right is the Master Bedroom.  A half bath is through the white door frame to the right.

 Living Room

Dining Room and glimpse into the mudroom/laundry behind.

Laundry/Mud room.  White door on the right goes to garage.  And no, the washer and dryer are not staying :(

 Kitchen

 Master Bedroom

Landing at top of stairs.  2 bedrooms to the left.  1 bedroom to the right.

 Smallest bedroom

2nd Bedroom, next door to the first.

 3rd Bedroom

Another view of landing, from 3rd bedroom.

View from landing to front door.  Vicki Johnson, our real estate agent.  It was her call to a friend, the owner of this house, that enabled us to walk through it, and it hadn't even been listed yet.

Basement.  I think this is when Jason gave some audible sounds of approval. :)

The door opposite goes to the fruit room.

The half of the basement on the opposite side of the stairs from the "cabin room" is unfinished.

View from the kitchen window.  You can see our pasture directly back and small garden plot.  The shed in view is the neighbor's.  Who, unfortunately, are a little too close. :)

View from kitchen window.  You can see more of the pasture and the shed that is ours as well.  But it is a really small backyard in comparison to the front.

We are really excited to move in.  Can you blame us? :)
